Wedding Celebration
Activities
We’re making a holiday out of it, because why not?
If you’re looking to make a long weekend or holiday out of it too, you can check out all kinds of things to do in the area.
Let us know in the RSVP if you’re planning a longer stay and if you like, we can plan something fun together nearer to the celebration.
Don’t worry, you can edit your response if and when you know more later on. And don’t forget to create a separate booking if needed (see more info on the Accommodation page).
There’s so much to do that we could only recommend some of them, so we do advise you to look at what other amazing things you can do in the area.

Just across the road, Brands Hatch has a popular racing circuit. It even has a race the day after our celebration!
You can book a track day, where you can drive your own car or bike to experience a real racing circuit away from restrictions. Or strap into an F4 racing or real rally car… maybe you’ll even set a new record?

Have young kids? Or want to make Daniël REALLY happy? Then visit Diggerland with us.
“Buckets of fun for everyone”
“…where children and adults alike can ride, drive and operate REAL diggers, dumpers and other full- size construction machinery.”
Yes, it’s a construction theme park, with rides, drives and experiences.

Near Brand Hatch there are several options to go golfing, but here is one.
Obviously you still need a golfing certificate to enjoy one of the two exceptional courses fully, but if you do have one, London Golf Club is the place to be!
If you don’t (like us), you can put in a surprising amount of effort at the driving range, or have a ‘Golfing Experience’ (1-8 people) to learn to golf in fun, friendly and informative way.

Craft beer isn’t for everyone, but it most definitely is for us.
We almost always visit a local brewery or craft beer pub when we visit a new city. Experimenting with new flavours, enjoying creative names and designs and really getting to know the ‘important’ things in an area.
This brewery and taproom is highly rated, so it’s a must-see for us!

The HCC is a zoo and wildlife centre that works together with others alike around the world to ensure the survival of the species they care for.
You have the chance to see the world’s most endangered, least understood and under-represented species here as they dedicate themselves to the care and protection of animals mainstream zoos overlook.
From a half hour to a full day, the HCC has experiences for all.

Ah London, the city where we originally got engaged…
A vibrant city, where there’s so much to see and do. There’s Westmister Abbey, the British museum, Piccadilly Square, Soho, London Eye, Buckingham Palace, Tower of London, the Shard, the Underground, London Bridge, the London dungeons, St. Paul’s Cathedral, Downing Street, Whitehall, St. James’ Park… and so on.
And a personal recommendation from us: The Mayor of Scaredy Cat Town.
Just take the train or car to Greenwich and either the Elizabeth Line or the boat to get in the City.

Do you love alpacas as much as Kirsten? Go for a walk with them!
Jon, Jemeela and their kids have been in love with aplacas since 2018 and just couldn’t get enough of them. From 2020, they were able to share their love with the world, including amazing experiences in the countryside. Go for a walk, have a picnic, have a mindfulness or therapeutic session… Just enjoy the Alpaca love.
You could even sign up for a ‘Fleece to Felt’ workshop.

Who doesn’t enjoy a relaxing walk and breath of fresh air?
Swanley Park is not only beautiful, it has something to do for everyone. They have food, drink, an indoor toddler playground, bouncy castle, boats, a miniature railway and more. A great place to have a chill afternoon or fun day out with the kiddy-winkies.
Parking is just £1 for an hour and £3 for a whole day.

If you like shopping, this is the place to be.
Known as ‘the Garden of England’, Bluewater Shopping Centre is simply unique with their striking architecture, 300 stores and 50 bars. Not only do they have flagship stores at each point, they also showcase fashionable, urban stores and restaurants as well as a Cinema and Gravity Trampoline Park.

Everyone has heard of it, but not everyone pronounces it correctly: Greenwich!
Where east meets west, Greenwich doesn’t just have one of the world’s most know dividers, there’s lots to see and do here for a great day out.

Steeped in over 900 years of history, ‘Her Castle’ has a glamorous history filled with strong and visionary women.
Immerse yourself in the fascinating world of Medieval and Tudor times, discover the captivating history and experience fully immersive exhibitions that uncover hidden stories and previously unheard voices of zeven remarkable queens.
They also have glamping, golf, maze & grotto, adventure golf and several playgrounds.

Lullingstone Roman Villa begun in about AD 100 and developed to suit the tastes and beliefs of successive wealthy owners, reaching its peak of luxury in the mid-4th century. Visitors to the villa today can still view the spectacular mosaics and prints of the rare wall paintings, a heated bath-suite and a ‘house-church’.
Check out some England Heritage during your stay. The link will take you to a website with many more options on amazing, historical places you can visit.
Now you’ve seen all there is to do nearby, how about you look at your stay again?
